Arrests made in two Strip shootings from last weekend

Suspects in both Linq and Stage Door shootings in custody

LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) - Las Vegas continues to see an uptick in violence on the Strip since hotels were allowed to reopen back on June 4th, and as the weekend came to a close there was yet another incident involving a fight and gunfire.

The fight broke out Sunday night between a group near the Linq Hotel. Someone then pulled out a gun and fired shots. One man was hit in the chest.

A short time after the shooting, the California Highway Patrol pulled over a car for speeding near Baker. They suspected imparment on the driver's part and arrested 19 year old David Preston on suspicion of driving impaired.

CHP then had the car towed to Baker, and in the process recevied notification from Metro about suspects being sought in the Linq shooting. 

The main suspect in the shooting,19-year-old Christian Miller.  Miller, was taken into custody in Baker.

Both Miller and Preston are being held in the High DesertDetention Center awaiting extradition back to Nevada.

On Tuesday, Metro Police also announced the arrests of three men in a drive-by shooting outside the Stage Door bar on Flamingo east of the Strip early Saturday. 3 people were wounded.

Witnesses say prior to the shooting, a fight had broken out. Shortly after the fight was over, a vehicle drive by and the occupants sprayed gunfire. The victms all suffered non-life-threatening wounds.

Lee Owens, Qiwon Whittiker, and Donald Zackery, have all been booked into the Clark County Detention Center on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder.
