LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) - Las Vegas Metro Police have arrested two people for beating a rideshare driver and stealing his car on a lift to Mesquite

47 year-old Chantilly Farmer and 24 year-old Devonte Roberson were arrested Thursday and face numerous charges that include kidnapping, robbery with a deadly weapon and grand larceny.

It happened early Thursday to a driver who was taking the pairfrom Henderson up to Mesquite.

Police say when the driver stopped at Love’s Truck Stop at I-15 and U.S. 93, he was beaten, stabbed and his car was stolen. The driver 's injuries weren't serious.
