LAS VEGAS (KXNT) - Authorities arrested a Las Vegas Metro police officer Tuesday accused of several counts of misconduct, including recording video of someone's body without their knowledge, according to investigators.

Patrol officer Rachel Sorkow was arrested Tuesday following the results of a 7-month investigation, a Las Vegas Metro Police statement reported.

Investigators said they were alerted to Sorkow's actions during a case involving a person on parole in September 2018.

Detectives determined Sorkow had several interactions with citizen where she video recorded on a personal phone in violation of department policy. In one of those videos, the private area of a person was recorded without their knowledge, the department reported.

Sorkow, who was assigned to the Northeast Area Command Community Policing Division, was relieved of duty with pay in December.

She was charged with five felony counts of misconduct by a public officer as well as misdemeanor counts of recording someone's private area and indecent exposure.
