LAS VEGAS (KXNT) - Las Vegas already has plenty going for it: a favorable climate, world class restaurants and destinations, the Golden Knights and the soon-to-be Las Vegas Raiders. Now, the city can boast that it's nearer and dearer to a caffeine lover’s heart than anywhere else.

A new study from Apartment Guide found Sin City is the best place in America to get your Starbucks fix.

Sure, it’s not unreasonable to think that the home of Starbucks, Seattle, Washington, would take the top spot, but it’s actually Las Vegas.

The study looked at the number of Starbucks per capita in cities with a population over 100,000 and found that there’s one Starbucks for every 5,133 in the Valley.

Second place went to Burbank, California, with one Starbucks for every 5,242 residents. Bellevue, Washington, Seattle, and Orlando rounded out the top five.

The study doesn’t mean that Las Vegas has the most Starbucks, simply the most per capita. That honor, not surprisingly, goes to New York City with 241 locations. Next up is Chicago with 184, followed by Houston, San Diego and Los Angeles. Las Vegas finished 7th on that list with 125 locations, though locations that are inside grocery and big box stores like Target were not included in the count.

The study’s authors say that the 24-hour aspect of Las Vegas helped us in the study, as there’s no down time for people needing their caffeine fix.
