Governor Sandoval To Hosts Project Neon Worker Appreciation Luncheon

The Governor Recognizing The Men And Women Who Helped Make Project Neon Happen

LAS VEGAS (KXNT) - Governor Brian Sandoval is expected to be in Southern Nevada Wednesday. 

The governor will be in Las Vegas for a luncheon with officials and workers with the Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) to show his appreciation for their hard work to construct the multi-billion dollar road improvement project.

Doors will open at 2 p.m., with a presentation scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m. The luncheon will be at the World Market Center, Building B, 16th floor. The World Market Center is located at 475 S. Grand Central Parkway in Las Vegas. 

So far, Project Neon construction crews have recorded more than 1-million man-hours of work, and the project is 88-percent complete, with an expected completion date of Summer 2019.

Joining the governor will be NDOT Director Rudy Malfabon, NDOT Project Manager Dale Keller, Kiewit Infrastructure West Company Area Manager Jody Schott, and other officials.
