Expect Nightly Ramp Closures In Centennial Bowl March 3-7

Temporary Closures Required For Roadway Excavation And Ramp Widening

March 01, 2019 - 2:15 pm

LAS VEGAS (KXNT) - You can count on death, taxes, and construction, especially in the Las Vegas Valley.

The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) will be closing the northbound U.S. Highway 95 ramp to the eastbound 215 Beltway in northwest Las Vegas from 8:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly, starting the evening of March 3 and concluding the morning of March 7.

The temporary closures are required for roadway excavation and a future ramp widening as part of the $73 million next phase of the “Centennial Bowl” interchange, which broke ground in late January. The project calls for constructing a northbound U.S. Highway 95 to westbound 215 Beltway flyover, plus building a southbound U.S. Highway 95 to eastbound 215 Beltway connector along with other improvements.

Motorists should use caution while traveling through the work zone, heed construction signage, and take alternate detour routes, if possible. NDOT works with Waze to inform the public about planned highway restrictions, but unscheduled construction changes, closures, and restrictions are possible due to weather or other factors. For the latest state highway conditions, visit or call 511 before driving.
