LAS VEGAS (KXNT) - Did you know there are a lot of road projects and some closures in Las Vegas that have nothing to do with the Nevada Department of Transportation or NDOT? This next story is one of those cone zone projects.

Several major streets in downtown Las Vegas will be closed on Sunday, Nov. 11, due to the Veterans Day Parade and the Toyota Rock ‘n’ Roll Las Vegas Marathon & ½ Marathon.

Closures will begin at 7 a.m. with Fourth Street between Coolidge and Ogden avenues as preparations are made for the Veterans Day Parade that begins at 10 a.m. In addition, portions of Ogden east and west of Fourth will also be closed for the parade. See the parade route map for additional details.

Many more streets will be closing throughout the day in preparation of the annual marathon. Las Vegas Boulevard, Fourth Street, Main Street, Casino Center Boulevard, Grand Central Parkway, Bridger Avenue and Bonneville Avenue are some of the roadways that will have at least partial closures. A complete list of road closures, estimated reopening times and a route map are available at https://www.runrocknroll.com/en/events/las-vegas/the-races/road-closures...

Those planning on parking in or traveling to downtown on Sunday, Nov. 11, should consult the closure information.
