LAS VEGAS (KXNT) - Get ready for more cone zones, this time it is in the "Spaghetti Bowl.

The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) will make the following “Spaghetti Bowl” ramp closures in downtown Las Vegas from 10 p.m., March 27, until 5 a.m., March 28, and again from 10 p.m., March 28, until 5 a.m., March 29:

*The U.S. Highway 95 southbound to Interstate 15 northbound ramp.

*The Martin Luther King Boulevard on-ramp to Interstate 15 northbound.

The temporary closures are needed for painting as part of Project Neon’s nearly $1 billion 4-mile-long widening of Interstate 15 from the U.S. 95 interchange to Sahara Avenue, which broke ground in 2016. Project Neon is 94 percent finished and scheduled for substantial completion in this summer.

Motorists should use caution while traveling through the work zone, heed construction signage, and take alternate detour routes, if possible. Check the Project Neon website ( or Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter pages (@NDOTProjectNeon) for up to date information. There is also a free smartphone app available, plus a hotline available in both English and Spanish at 702-293-NEON (6366). NDOT works with Waze to inform the public about planned highway restrictions, but unscheduled construction changes, closures, and restrictions are possible due to weather or other factors. For the latest state highway conditions, visit or call 511 before driving.

Also, The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) will be repairing the guardrail along the southbound U.S. Highway 95 off-ramp to Decatur Boulevard from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., March 26, in Las Vegas. A portion of the right-hand ramp lane will be closed, as a result. However, the ramp will still be accessible to motorists.
