Early Voting Ends Friday, With Primary Election Day Tuesday

If You Wait For Primary Election Day You'll Be Able To Cast Ballot At Any Voting Centers That Day

LAS VEGAS (KXNT) - Voters have until the end of the day Friday, June 8, to cast their ballots during early voting, which so far has been the busiest early voting period in a primary election. A complete list and schedule of early voting sites is available here.

Those who wait for Primary Election Day on Tuesday, June 12, will be able to cast their ballot at any one of the 172 vote centers open that day.

Vote centers operate similarly to early voting sites in that every vote center can accommodate any County voter. This is the first time vote centers are being used in a countywide election. They are replacing assigned Election Day polling places for Clark County voters. This change is expected to make voting more convenient for voters, as there are no more assigned polling places, and voters may choose to go to a vote center close to where they work, or shop, or live.

Some of the most popular early voting locations will also be open as vote centers on Election Day Tuesday including the Meadows, Boulevard and Galleria at Sunset malls, Downtown Summerlin and Centennial Center.

More information about the election is available through the Election Department website at www.ClarkCountyNV.gov/vote.

Some contests will be decided in the primary, although in most the primary will narrow the field of candidates moving on to the general election. The general election is Nov. 6, with early voting from Oct. 20 to Nov. 2.
