LAS VEGAS (KXNT) - The College of Southern Nevada is pleased to announce the hiring of an internationally experienced fundraiser as the new executive director of the CSN Foundation.
Barbara Talisman brings more than 30 years of experience to her new role at CSN from a diverse array of philanthropic organizations. Her experience includes directing a capital campaign for the Royal Children's Hospital Foundation in Melbourne, Australia, and leading fundraising initiatives for National Public Radio, the American Red Cross and the American Heart Association. She chose to join CSN because she believes in the community college’s core mission.

“Access to an education is the key to moving our community forward,” Talisman said. “I am fortunate to have had a college education, and I think everyone should be able to have access to learning beyond high school -whether they are pursuing a degree, a certificate, or the skills they need to support themselves, their families and communities.”

Talisman brings passion and dedication to her new role. She has been described as innovative, detailed-oriented and gifted with an ability to work collaboratively with diverse constituent groups, including donors, Board members, staff and community members. She is an Association of Fundraising Professionals certified Master Trainer and holds the Certified Fund Raising Professional (CFRE) certification.

The CSN Foundation is an independent, registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the college's students, faculty, staff, and programs. It is governed by its executive director and a Board of Trustees consisting of community leaders and industry professionals from across southern Nevada.
