CCSD High Schools Earned Four Of The Top Five Rankings In The State

LAS VEGAS (KXNT) - Advanced Technologies Academy (A-TECH) has been ranked the number one high school in Nevada, according to the annual report recently released by U.S. News & World Report.

The rankings indicate that Clark County School District (CCSD) high schools dominate the top of the field in Nevada. CCSD high schools earned four of the top five rankings in the state.

“This is an outstanding accomplishment,” said CCSD Superintendent Dr. Jesus F. Jara. “A-TECH is home to talented teachers and students who are dedicated to excellence every day.”

“CCSD’s dominance of these rankings of statewide high schools demonstrate why we are the number one choice for families, preparing all of our graduates for college and career,” Jara added.

A-TECH has ranked as 120 nationally in the Best High Schools category based on College Readiness, Math and Reading Proficiency, Math and Reading Performance, Underserved Student Performance, College Curriculum Breadth, and Graduation Rate. The annual report consists of data from more than 23,000 public high schools nationally and ranks 17,000 high schools.

“A-TECH has had a strong tradition of academic excellence for 25 years and it is very exciting that we are being recognized as one of the top schools in the country,” said A-TECH Principal Jonathan Synold. “We have continued to move up in the rankings over the last few years. This is a testament to our staff’s dedication to constant innovation to ensure our increasingly diverse students receive a rigorous and engaging curriculum.”
