LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) - Two Netherlands men pled guilty in Beatty Justice Court on Monday to trespassing onto the Nevada National Security Site.

Govert Sweep and Ties Sweep were sentenced to a year in Nye County Jail, with all but 10 days suspended, on the condition they stay away from any events near or related to the Nevada National Security Site, and that they not go within 500 yards of the site for the next year.

The pair said they meant no harm and understood what the "No Trespassing" signs mean, but they wanted to film some Area 51-related things for their respective YouTube channels.

Deputies who discovered the pair found cameras, a laptop, a drone and phones in the men's car.and found footage the men had shot on their devices.

Following their sentences, the pair were taken back to their cells and will spend the next few days there. Under terms of the sentence, they'll be released later this week if all their fines and fees are paid off.
