Search Suspended for Vegas Man Missing on Colorado Mountain
ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK, Colo. (AP) — Rocky Mountain National Park has suspended the search for a 20-year-old man missing for 10 days in wintry weather on the park's highest peak.
Officials said Tuesday they have few clues to the whereabouts of Micah Tice of Las Vegas, a student at the Air Force Academy preparatory school.
Tice was last seen Nov. 24 on the Longs Peak trail. The mountain reaches 14,259 feet above sea level.
Ground crews, trained dogs and helicopters have searched about 10 square miles. Officials say they could resume if conditions are favorable.
Another hiker was found dead on Longs Peak in August, and a third has been missing there since October. A fourth died in July after a fall on Mount Meeker, which is adjacent to Longs Peak.
