LAS VEGAS (AP) — Las Vegas police say an 8-month-old baby and two other passengers in a car escaped injury when the vehicle they were in crashed after the driver was shot.

Police say the vehicle was southbound on U.S. 95 near  Decatur Boulevard late Thursday night when it crashed with another vehicle.

No immediate arrest was made and no information was released on a possible motive for the shooting. Road rage isn't being ruled out.

Police said the driver was taken to a hospital for treatment of a single gunshot wound that wasn’t considered life-threatening. His identity wasn’t released.

Northbound Decatur over U.S. 95 was closed for hours for investigation, as was the Decatur exit from 95 South.
