After-School All-Star Dodgeball Tournament Is Back

LAS VEGAS, NV - An after school program announces their a renewal for this year. 

After-School All-Star Dodgeball Tournament just announced their 5th annual tournament. This year it will be presented by PLAYSTUDIOS and is scheduled for February 23rd.

It will be held at the Bill and Lillie Heinrich YMCA with all the proceeds benefitting the organization. The funds raised will support the mission that the organization helping youth suceed in school and in life. 

After-School All-Stars Las Vegas offers free, comprehensive academic and enrichment programs and currently serves more 6,500 elementary and middle school students at 16 at-risk Clark County schools, including West Prep Middle School. After-School All-Stars student performers from West Prep will kick off each of the two tournament sessions on Feb. 23, showing off the skills they have learned in two of the many ASAS programs offered at the school: Step Dance and Mariachi.                

The tournament, which began in 2015, has grown in popularity, with more teams than ever vying for the chance to claim the championship trophy. Local companies may participate by registering teams. Participants are encouraged to wear costumes, and each team is guaranteed a minimum of six games. The cost is $500 per team.

Past participants include teams from Las Vegas nightclubs, restaurants and resorts, Zappos.com, law firms, commercial real estate firms, television stations, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, and more.

In addition to the tournament action, ASAS is hosting an online silent auction open to the entire community. The auction features Vegas Golden Knights tickets, staycation packages featuring hotel stays, dinners and shows, golf packages, helicopter rides and more.
